Upon the pristine beer-brewing kit
“For Sale: Baby Shoes, Never Used”

When your mother let the
Membership at the rock-climbing gym
Lapse
Did she know you’d have to drive
“halfway through fucking Mexico
just to boulder?”

Glacier Silver or Melbourne Red?
Havanna or Black Sapphire?
Orion Silver or Mineral White?
Oh how they weep and swear
When a roof-forgotten latte cascades down
the pristine Mineral White,
If only 230 horsepower
Could fill a god-shaped hole
